Homecoming Scotland 2014

2014 is the year of Homecoming Scotland, which is a year-long programme of events to celebrate all that is great and wonderful about this wee country of ours.  At the heart of the celebrations will be the focus upon Scotland’s food and drink, active and natural resources as well as our creative, cultural and ancestral heritage. This event was first introduced in 2009 and was such a roaring success that it made sense to do it all over again. There will be a wide range of events taking place – some of which will be ticketed and some will be free – perfect for a wee day out with family and friends!

You can check out the Homecoming events page here and this shows you what is on and where it will be happening.  My impression of this by reading their website is that they are planning a few special surprises later on in the year so keep an eye out for that.

Tickets: Check the Visit Scotland website for ticketing information.

Accommodation:As events take place across the entire county, it is best to check out the Visit Scotland website where there are lots of accommodation ideas and rates.
