UK festivals done the frugal way

Tents at T in the Park

Additional Essentials

Tents

There will always be the smug festival-goers who spend more than would ever be necessary on tents just to find that they end up exactly the same as everyone else’s… impressively disgusting and therefore uninhabitable. If you don’t want to be That Guy, this tent is reliable, big enough for two people, durable and, you guessed it, cheap. £38!

Toiletries

Your best bet for weekend toiletries and essentials is your local pound shop. They tend to have at the very least travel size toiletries from name brands. Ideal for festivals and short holidays. DO NOT FORGET TOILET ROLL.

Food

If you haven’t been to a festival in the UK and found yourself complaining about the prices of food then I envy you. £5 for a bacon roll WITHOUT ketchup? No thank you. Some festivals allow portable bbqs, some will let you use boiling water for £1 a go for Pot Noodles etc. There is also the option of taking a couple of food containers with pre-cooked pasta with various sauces or really anything that you think can last through the weekend without a refrigerator
